Back to school

I started back to school on October 3rd. I ordered books on October 3rd because I wasn't sure funding was coming through. I was in such a hurry to order them, that I didn't check "rush shipping". It took me almost 2 weeks to get all but one book. I am still waiting for that book. Fortunately, it is on Kindle and I bought it again so I could do my homework. I hope I can return that book.

It's been a big adjustment. I quit my job, that I kind of miss. I enjoyed sitting in court for the most part. I have had so many errands to run, with the flexibility of not having to do it after work, that I have had a hard time getting homework done. I am still not sure I want to do homework. I plan to get my degree, but I don't want a paralegal job doing research. I think I'd like to just be a legal assistance/secretary, but I can't find an online school I can afford to get that degree and still qualify for the housing assistance the GI bill offers. That is the main reason I went back to school and quit work. The housing assistance is 3 times what I made at work and school is free.

We have been busy! We removed the huge flower garden we put in at our old house in Cedar Hills. We have it rented and it's hard for the renters to keep up with. We also removed all the roses along the sidewalk that bite the passers-by. It took us most of the day last Saturday. We left a much smaller flowerbed and put sod in everywhere else. It looks pretty good! Now we are redo-ing the flowerbed at our house that is full of grass. Michael is working hard on it!
