Tip of the Week

I thought I would start doing a Tip of the Week. I honestly don't know if anyone reads this, so I don't know if it is going to help anyone or not, but here goes...

Whenever you go on an outing with your kids--even to the grocery store, take a picture of them as you get in or out of the car so you know what they are wearing if they get lost.

A couple more tidbits:
"A sweet and obedient child will only enroll a father or a mother in Parenting 101. If you are blessed with a child who tests your patience to the nth degree, you will be enrolled in Parenting 505. Rather than wonder what you might have done wrong in the premortal life to be so deserving, you might consider the more challenging child a blessing and opportunity to become more Christlike yourself." (maybe we have graduated to Parenting 1050 or something???)

Note to self: A bi-polar child will be a bi-polar child. To expect anything different will drive you insane [quicker]. A child that is emotionally "2" will ACT "2".

Another note to self: Pray really hard every night and all day that angels will guard your son's window so he doesn't open it (again) and go on the roof (again) and sneak through his sister's window (again) so he can get out of his room without setting off the alarm. (besides ANGELS, I have NO idea how to keep this child safe from himself!)I need super high-tech security to contain this child. Since there doesn't seem to be anything--at least that I can afford--I need to call on the higher Powers to intervene--and be in tune enough with the spirit so I KNOW when he is up to something.
